Vought Names 2009 Scholarship Winners

DALLAS, AUG. 14, 2009 – Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. has announced the recipients of eight higher education scholarship awards of $2,000 each.

“Being a good corporate citizen is one of our stated values, and providing scholarships supports that effort,” said Vought Vice President of Human Resources Tom Stubbins. “We are pleased to provide this financial assistance to deserving students who are members of our Vought extended family.”

The 2009 scholarship program is sponsored by Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. and the Nina and Gordon Williams Scholarship Fund.

Eligible students must be the spouse, son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter or grandchild of an active Vought employee. The students, all of whom are entering either their junior or senior year of college, were selected based on their academic standing, involvement in school and community activities, as well as a personal essay and letters of reference.
