Vought Launches Redesigned Web Site

DALLAS, JULY 21, 2004 – Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. today unveiled its redesigned Web site at www.voughtaircraft.com. The Web site features an updated look and about 300 pages of content. Visitors can quickly move from one section to another, making it easier to “drill down” to a specific page of information. In addition, many pages are also available in a text-only, printer-friendly format.

As in the previous version, Vought’s site has two main navigation bars. On the left side of the home page, sections include “About Vought” (corporate overview, leadership, locations and community support); “Products and Programs” (product listings, commercial and military programs the company currently supports, MRO and lab/quality technologies); “News, Fact Sheets and Image Gallery" (press releases, program and location fact sheets, and a collection of downloadable company photographs); and Career Opportunities.

The top navigation bar leads visitors to separate Vought Web sites for suppliers, employees and retirees, and a virtual store featuring company logo items. This also is where the link is embedded to Vought’s heritage museum -- a vast collection of facts, stories and images regarding the predecessor companies that share the Vought name.

“The last redesign of Vought’s Web site was in 2001, shortly after we became an independent company,” said Mike Schwarz, Vought director of corporate communications. “We’ve changed since then, so it’s appropriate that our main communications vehicles be updated to reflect our image as a premier structures supplier to the aerospace market.” Schwarz said the company’s new capabilities brochure mirrors the graphic design found on the Web site.
