DALLAS, AUG. 22, 2001 Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. recently announced the recipients of eight higher education scholarship awards of $2,000 each. The recipients, selected from the 33 students who applied, are listed alphabetically by the companys five sites:

"This scholarship program is another indication of how we value employees," said Margo Parker, Voughts Chief Human Resources and Administrative Officer. "Investing in the education of employees children is an investment in our future."
Eligible students must be entering their junior or senior year of college and be the son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter or grandchild of an active Vought employee. Students must also maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0. In addition to their transcripts, applicants submitted a 500-word personal essay and two letters of reference.
