Overview:
The Brea, Calif., facility is located on 20 acres east of Los Angeles. Brea's capabilities include gantry profiling for skins, stringers, chords, and ribs to 120 feet long; monolithic structure matching; and specialized machining for complex wing structures.

Products and Capabilities:
The Brea site builds wing skins, spars, stringers, chords and ribs. Current product lines include:

• A330 / A340 main landing gear rib

BAE Systems
• P3 Orion planks and webs

Boeing Commercial
• 737 FLE attach straps
• 747 stringers, panels, doublers, chords and longerons
• 767 bulkheads, panels and crown frames
• 777 FLE attach straps, FLE nose beams, webs and edge frames

Boeing Military
• C-17 Globemaster III internal wing structure (includes spar webs, spar caps and   stringers)

Gulfstream
• G350 and G450 series intercostals ribs

Northrop Grumman
• EA-6B Prowler wing panels and spars
• E-2C Hawkeye wing panels

Spirit Aerosystems
• G650 spars and ribs

Site History:
In 1979, Contour of California (CCI) is established in Brea when assets of Macrodyne’s Macro Division and NEA’s Certified Manufacturing are purchased and combined. In 1996 CCI is sold to The Carlyle Group, which merged the business with Contour Industries of Everett, WA to form Contour Aerospace, Inc.  In 1998, Carlyle merged Contour Aerospace with The Aerostructures Corp., operating is as a division of the company. In July 2003, Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. purchased The Aerostructures Corp. Today the Brea and Everett sites operate as Contour Aerospace Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Vought.
