F4U-4B A Corsair leaves the deck of the mighty aircraft carrier USS Valley Forge to join up with other Valley Forge planes striking military targets in North Korea. The aircraft carrier USS Valley Forge was the first to see action against North Korea. It is commanded by Captain Joseph M. Carson of Front Royal, Va., and is the flagship of Rear admiral John M. Hoshins.
