F4U-1D CARRIER CORSAIRS - Outlined against the blue of a Pacific sky, a Vought Corsair is snapped after making a landing on a Navy ESSEX-class carrier following a strike at the Japs in the Pacific. Marine-manned CORSAIRS have joined Navy General Motors AVENGERS, Grumman HELLCATS and Curtiss HELLDIVERS in accelerating the thunderous aerial blows against the Nipponese.
