The F-8E Crusader from the SunDowners squadron VF-111, #150896, was lost in combat to a Mig Fighter on 05 September 1966. VF-111 was disestablished in March 1995.
"Omar" was the SunDowners mascot and is the figure on the tip of the vertical stabilizer.
