Site Major Change History
Initial Release
The Web Site was initially released on Thursday 20 January 2000.
Comments have been very favorable, with some questions for more detailed information on some products.
The decision, to proceed with part of phase II, was made in early August.
After the sale of the aerostructures part of Northrop Grumman to The Carlyle Group the company reactivated Vought as the name and the Heritage Web Site was changed to reflect the new owners.
Complete Revision
The Vought Heritage web site was completely revised over a seven month period between December 2002 and July 2003. The resulting site was loaded August 5, 2003, replacing the previous site.
The site was revised to make navigation easier and more direct with more cross links to get back and forth between subject matter.
The site is still evolving and more content is continually being added. Anyone that has information that would enhance the Vought story is more than welcome to submit it to us for review.
Addition Revision
The Vought Heritage web site was revised in January 2006 to add a section for the Vought Heritage Foundation, a section for the artifacts Restoration and a human interest section called Reminiscence.
Removal Revision
The site was changed June 2009 to remove the drop down menus that did not work correctly in some web browsers. Some sections of the web site were also removed because there was little or no information in them or because changes were not being updated for the web site.
