Michael L. Schwarz Michael Schwarz is Vice President of Communications for Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. He was named to this position in April 2006 and is responsible for company communications, strategic messaging, marketing communications, and industry and state government relations. Most recently, Mr. Schwarz was Vought’s Director of Corporate Communications. He was named to that position in July 2000 when Vought was formed as an independent company. In that assignment, he was responsible for the company’s employee communications, community relations, external communications and media services. Prior to that, Mr. Schwarz performed communications and marketing duties for the Chief Information Officer of Pharmacia & Upjohn in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Mr. Schwarz began his career with Northrop Corporation in 1976 in San Antonio, Texas, in instructional video program design, and held increasingly more responsible leadership positions within the communications organization. Prior to his assignment with Vought, he was Manager of Internal Communications for Northrop Grumman’s Integrated Systems and Aerostructures sector. Mr. Schwarz earned his bachelor of fine arts degree in Radio-TV-Film from Texas Christian University, in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Schwarz has been a volunteer leader of ITVA, an international professional communications association of 10,000 members, and held positions of International President, Board Member and Chairman of the Board. In the local community, he has been Advisory Board President of Holy Trinity Catholic School in Grapevine, Texas. 04/06
