Diversity Outreach at Vought
We do many things at Vought to back our commitment
to diversity, such as...
Diversity Training
An essential element of Vought’s diversity strategy is to train management to enhance their awareness and understanding of diversity and to provide skills related to diversity management. Diversity training is provided at all Vought sites every two years to managers and supervisors. Some examples of subjects covered in our training classes include:
- The difference in how men and women communicate
- How to leverage diversity to improve performance
- How to mentor/coach others who are different from you
Diversity Teams
Diversity representatives at each site identify barriers, real or perceived, and offer recommendations to management on how to overcome the barriers.
Heritage Events
We enjoy having the opportunity to celebrate our diversity at Vought. The company recognizes heritage months that have received official Presidential Proclamations:
Black History Month (February), Women In History Month (March), Asian-Pacific American Month (May), Hispanic Heritage Month (September) and Native American
Month (November).

We pay tribute to each of these heritage-related months with colorful posters hung throughout all of our facilities. In an effort to foster an environment of inclusion, we hold a special celebration once a year for all ethnic backgrounds, with detailed events that are entertaining and informative.
