Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. not only manufactures integrated aerostructures, but we also design products that are both effective and affordable for our customers.
We are proficient in CATIA, Unigraphics II, and CCD (CADAM) design and analysis software. We also have extensive experience in product data definition translation that gives us the ability to support our customers using other computer-aided design software packages.
Regardless of what design approach is used, our primary focus is on producibility. We use digital mockup tools to validate the "manufacturability" of key components before the first parts are made. In doing so, we
lower costs, improve productivity and increase production stability.
In addition, our structures engineering test laboratory provides additional resources for product design validation. This laboratory has an industry-wide reputation for engineering excellence in structural testing, as well as outstanding cost and schedule performance. The systems test laboratories offer specialized, dedicated facilities with remotely operated test cells for the safe performance of hydraulic, environmental, fuel and fire barrier tests assuring the reliability and quality of our products.
