Non-Destructive Inspection Engineering, Test and Inspection

The NDT Laboratory consists of several dedicated engineers functioning in various support capacities that include NDT Process Control for Production
NDI, R&D support as well as NDT equipment and technology development.
These engineers harbor vast experience in all of the basic NDT methods
(ultrasonics, radiography, eddy current, penetrant, and magnetic particle testing) as well as several emerging NDT areas (acoustic emission, infrared
thermography, and shearography). All personnel have either national or company-sponsored certifications that attest to their particular areas of expertise. In the past, this expertise has generally been applied to composite and metallic detail part inspection, the evaluation of advanced material components, inspection during static or dynamic structural testing, and aging aircraft systems in support of testing and modernization. In addition, NDT personnel have been instrumental in the development of novel automated inspection systems and NDT technology for unique applications.

There is a wide array of NDT equipment accessible for performance of the above-mentioned services. Included are several production based computer-controlled data acquisition ultrasonic systems, portable flaw detectors and bond testers, portable eddy current instruments, radiographic inspection cells, and penetrant and magnetic particle testing facilities.
