Vought has EA-6B contracts with Northrop Grumman for production of wing outboard trailing edge slats and fiberglass fairings, as well as wing center section panels and channels. Vought's facility in Brea also produces wing panels and spars for the EA-6B.

The Prowler is the only electronic warfare aircraft used by the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy. To ensure its continued success primarily as a radar and communications jamming system, Vought is supporting enhancement of the Prowler under two major upgrade programs.

The first program calls for the conversion of 20 Prowlers to an enhanced configuration that ensures interoperability with other U.S. forces.

The second Prowler upgrade is the development of the next-generation EA-6B system, known as Improved Capability-III (ICAP-III). The ICAP-III jamming system has a potential value of $750 million over the life of the contract.
