Vought builds the cabin structure for Sikorsky's UH60-L, M and MH-60S variants of
BLACK HAWK helicopters. The company's first BLACK HAWK contract was announced
in 2005. Three years later, Vought was awarded a multi-year contract with Sikorsky covering deliveries through 2012. Work on the BLACK HAWK program is done at
Vought's Dallas site.

The ruggedness and survivability of the BLACK HAWK, combined with its multi-mission flexibility, have made it the world's standard for medium-lift utility helicopters. Sikorsky has delivered more than 2,600 "Hawk" family helicopters since 1978, and the aircraft has logged more than 5 million flying hours.

Sikorsky's UH-60M BLACK HAWK is designed to replace the UH-60L as the standard configuration for all new U.S. Army BLACK HAWK production. With a new airframe, avionics and propulsion system, it is the latest and most modern in a series of BLACK HAWK helicopter variants that Sikorsky has been delivering to the Army since 1978. The MH-60S KNIGHTHAWK, the U.S. Navy's newest multi-mission helicopter, is an amalgam of the UH-60L BLACK HAWK and its Navy variant, the SH-60B SEAHAWK.

More than 2,500 H-60 BLACK HAWK helicopter variants have accumulated more than 1.8 million flight hours since 2003 for the U.S. Army. BLACK HAWK helicopters currently serve in 27 governments around the world in a diverse range of missions such as combat assault, peacekeeping, border patrol, drug interdiction, disaster relief and medical evacuation.
